Daniel Alkmim – Founder
BR Elite Soccer Club was founded by Daniel Alkmim, a former elite player with solid experience in both futsal and field soccer. Born and raised in Brazil, Daniel honed his skills at the renowned Zico Academy, where he trained under mentors from the Brazilian National Team and Zico himself — one of the greatest legends in the history of Brazilian football.

After standing out in Brazil, Daniel continued his career in the United States, competing at the collegiate level in NCAA Division I and Division II. His playing style blended the creativity and flair of Brazilian football with the physical preparation and tactical structure of American college competition. Unfortunately, his professional aspirations were cut short by injuries, but his passion for the sport only grew stronger.

Daniel transitioned into a coaching career with the mission of passing on his high-level knowledge to the next generation. Through BR Elite Soccer Training, he built a reputation for technical excellence, game intelligence, and a unique player-centered approach. Now, with the creation of BR Elite development academy, his goal is to provide athletes with both top-tier training and the help them bring it to the competitive platform of the SOCAL Soccer League.

Gabriel Sousa – Coach & Former International Player
Gabriel Sousa brings a rich and diverse soccer background shaped across three continents. Born and raised in Brazil, Gabriel developed his foundation in the country known worldwide for producing creativity, flair, and technical excellence. His early years in Brazil forged not only his skill set, but also his competitive identity as a player.

Seeking new challenges, Gabriel advanced his career to Europe, where he played professionally in Poland and Sweden. Competing in these demanding environments exposed him to different tactical systems, high-level physical standards, and the disciplined structure of European football — experiences that strengthened his versatility and resilience on the field.

Gabriel later moved to the United States to continue both his academic and athletic journey. He excelled at the junior college level, helping his team reach the Top 3 in the nation, a standout achievement that highlighted his impact and leadership. After his JUCO success, he transferred to Southern Nazarene University (SNU) in Oklahoma to compete in the NCAA, where he continued to evolve in a more structured and fast-paced collegiate system.

With this broad international experience, Gabriel made a natural transition into coaching through BR Elite Soccer. His journey — from Brazil, to Europe, to the American collegiate system — uniquely positions him to understand players of all backgrounds. Today, Gabriel focuses on transforming players’ lives, combining technical precision, tactical knowledge, and a player-centered approach that helps athletes grow on and off the field.
