Why Kids Love Training Soccer – Br Elite Soccer OC

PRIVATE TRAINING IN NEWPORT BEACH

The Passion for the Game: Why Do Kids Love Training Soccer?

For many parents in Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, there is nothing quite like seeing the smile on a child’s face as they step onto the pitch. Soccer is not just the world’s most popular sport; it is an activity that resonates deeply with the spirit of childhood. But what exactly is it that makes children fall in love with the training process?

At Br Elite Soccer, we believe this love stems from the perfect combination of fun, challenge, and social connection. Our goal is to nurture this natural passion through youth soccer training that celebrates the joy of the game while building elite skills.

1. The Joy of Movement and Discovery

Children have an intrinsic need to move. Soccer provides the freedom to run, jump, and kick within a structured yet playful environment.

  • Learning Through Play: In soccer, every drill is a game. When a child learns to dribble between cones, they don’t see it as “work”—they see it as a fun challenge to conquer.

  • Motor Exploration: The act of controlling a ball with the feet is fascinating for a developing brain. This constant discovery of “what I can do with the ball” keeps engagement levels high.

2. A Sense of Achievement and Mastery

Few things boost a child’s self-esteem more than mastering a new skill. Whether it’s hitting a clean pass for the first time or scoring a goal at the end of practice, these moments of success are incredibly powerful.

  • Daily Small Wins: In our private soccer lessons, we focus on individual goals. Seeing real progress from one week to the next makes a child feel capable and motivated.

  • Overcoming Challenges: Learning that mistakes are part of the process—and that practice leads to improvement—is a valuable life lesson that soccer teaches organically.

3. Social Connection and On-Field Friendships

Soccer is, by nature, a social sport. In vibrant communities like Huntington Beach, the soccer field is where many lifelong friendships begin.

  • A Sense of Belonging: Being part of a team or a training group creates a sense of identity. The child feels they belong to something bigger than themselves.

  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Kids love the dynamic of helping a teammate score or celebrating a great play together. This social interaction is one of the biggest draws of the sport.

4. Connecting with Idols and Dreams

Children love soccer because it connects them to their heroes. They step onto the field imagining they are the world-class stars they see on TV.

Our methodology, inspired by Brazilian soccer, encourages the creativity and “ginga” (flair) that children admire so much. When training with us in Newport Beach, they feel they are learning the secrets of the world’s best players, turning every practice into an epic experience.

5. The Role of a Positive Training Environment

The final—and perhaps most important—reason why kids love training soccer is the environment. A dedicated soccer coach who uses positive reinforcement turns hard work into something pleasurable.

  • Supportive Atmosphere: At Br Elite Soccer, we remove the fear of making mistakes. When a child feels safe to try a new move, they have much more fun.

  • Variety and Dynamism: Our training sessions are designed to be fast-paced and varied, preventing boredom and keeping kids engaged from start to finish.

Transforming Passion into Talent in OC

A child’s love for soccer is the strongest fuel for their development. In Newport Beach and Huntington Beach, Br Elite Soccer is committed to keeping that flame alive by offering an environment where fun is taken seriously.

Daniel Alkmim Coach at Br Elite Soccer

Daniel Alkmim – Founder
BR Elite Soccer Club was founded by Daniel Alkmim, a former elite player with solid experience in both futsal and field soccer. Born and raised in Brazil, Daniel honed his skills at the renowned Zico Academy, where he trained under mentors from the Brazilian National Team and Zico himself — one of the greatest legends in the history of Brazilian football.

After standing out in Brazil, Daniel continued his career in the United States, competing at the collegiate level in NCAA Division I and Division II. His playing style blended the creativity and flair of Brazilian football with the physical preparation and tactical structure of American college competition. Unfortunately, his professional aspirations were cut short by injuries, but his passion for the sport only grew stronger.

Daniel transitioned into a coaching career with the mission of passing on his high-level knowledge to the next generation. Through BR Elite Soccer Training, he built a reputation for technical excellence, game intelligence, and a unique player-centered approach. Now, with the creation of BR Elite development academy, his goal is to provide athletes with both top-tier training and the help them bring it to the competitive platform of the SOCAL Soccer League.
